GENESIS ACCOUNT OF CREATION
We believe the Genesis account of creation was a direct act of God in six literal days. We believe man was created in the image of God. Gen. 1:1; Job26:7
TRINITY
We believe that there are three external and coequal persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, the same substance but distinct in subsistence. Rom. 1:17; Heb. 1:8; Acts 5:1-3; Matt. 28:19; ICor. 8:6.
DEITY
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He died and arose victorious over death. Mk. 12;6; Jn. 5:22, 23; Matt.26:63’66; Jn1:1;Heb.1:8; Jn. 20:28; Rom. 9:5; I John 5:1-5
VIRGIN BIRTH
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Ghost and in a miraculous manner; born of Mary, a virgin. Matt. 1:20; Lk. 30-35; Isa. 7:14
SUBSTITUTIONARY DEATH OF CHRIST
We believe that Jesus took the sinner’s place, bore his sins, and met the penalty through His substitutionary death. The blood of Christ cleanses the sins of man. Isa.53:5; Acts 20:28; II Cor. 5:21; Heb. 9:28; I Peter 3:18
SALVATION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH
We believe the sacrifice made by Jesus is the only basis of salvation, the only means of reconciliation, and the only ground of justification. A person must receive Jesus Christ for salvation of his soul. Acts 4:12; Heb. 5:9; Jn. 12:46; Jn. 20:31; Rom. 10:9; Eph. 2:9,10; Titus 3:5-8
DEPRAVITY
We believe that all humans are born sinners. Gen. 6:5; Job15:16; Ps. 14:3; Isa. 1:6; Jer. 16:12; Mat. 23:27; Mk. 9:41; Rom. 1:24; II Pet. 2:12
HEAVEN AND HELL
We believe that Heaven and Hell are real, literal physical places. Heaven is the final eternal dwelling place of the saved, and Hell is a place of eternal fire and punishment of the lost. Mat. 6:20; Lk. 10:20; Jn. 14:2; Dan. 7:10; Isa. 33:14; Mat. 13:42; Mk. 9:41; Rev. 14:10
SEPARATION FROM THE WORLD
We believe that once a person received Christ as his Saviour, he is a new creation in Christ, and he should separate himself from the lust of the world in obedience to the command of God. Rom. 12:1-2; I John 2:15-17; II Cor. 6:14-18; Col. 2:6; I Pet.2:9; II Cor. 5:17; II Tim. 2:19
RAPTURE AND SECOND COMING
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ, Himself, is coming in the air at any moment to catch up all of those who are born again. We believe in the personal, bodily, visible, pre-millennial return (second coming) of Christ. Acts 1:8; I Thes. 4:16-18; Rev. 19:11; Mat. 24:42; Mat. 25: 31-34
RESURRECTION
We believe in the bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. He arose bodily on “the third day according to the Scriptures” from the tomb. He ascended bodily into the heavens. He is at the right hand of God as our “Mediator, merciful and faithful High Priest, and advocate.” Jn. 20; Heb. 9:24; I Cor. 15: 12-28; Lk. 24:1-7; Rom. 4:25
ETERNAL SECURITY
We believe in the eternal security of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. When people are born again, they are given eternal life, kept by the power of God through faith and sealed unto the day of redemption. Jn. 10:27-30; I Pet. 1:5; Eph. 4:30; Rom. 8:35-39; Jn. 5:24
